SATURDAY 27th FEBRUARY - STOCK CARS & BANGERS

STOCK CARS:- A good field of 26 cars, divided into 4 heats.  Highest laps being 69 by Anthony Wyper, then 67 by Anthony and Paul Jenkinson.   Final Result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 68 laps, 2nd Paul Jenkinson 67, 3rd Gary McMullen 66, 4thCarl Baker 64, 5th Duncan Stott 64, 6th Mark Moorwood 62, 7th Ian Yarwood(Snr) 61 8th Terry Crowley 59 laps.   There was a Grand National for non-finalists, in which 10 cars entered.  This was won by Vince Brickell with 58 laps from Matthew Russell with 56.

A small heat of Bangers also raced.

SATURDAY 20th FEBRUARY - MIXED FORMULA.

STOCK CARS:- 13 cars, divided into 2 heats.  Highest laps being 67 by Anthony Wyper.  The "A" Final was interesting, all the red tops fighting for position, and in the end a yellow top won.  Result:- 1st Matthew Russell 65 laps, 2nd Paul Jenkinson 64, 3rd Carl Baker 63, 4th Anthony Wyper 62, 5th Pete Ayriss 62, 6th Martin Riley 61. 7th Terry Crowley 59, and 8th Chris Darlaston 59.  "B" Final result:- 1st Ian Warman 61 laps, 2nd Rob Willshire 58, 3rd Adam Sutherland 58, 4th Hannah Ayriss 55, 6th Adam Lyons 41 laps.

SALOONSTOCKS:-   One heat of 4 cars.  Final winner Ian Warman.

BANGERS:- Final result:- 1st ( and only finisher) Adam Sutherland 58 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 40, 3rd Chris Darlaston 39, 4th Brian Redikin 19, 5th Loran Darlaston 7, 6th Max Howard - did not start in final.

 

 

SATURDAY 13th FEBRUARY - STOCK CARS & SALOONSTOCKS

SALOONSTOCKS:-   Seven cars for this points meeting.  Highest laps being 62 by Vince Brickell.  Final positions:- 1st Vince Brickell 62 laps, 2nd Adam Sutherland 55, 3rd Ian Warman 53, 4th Rob Willshire 52, 5th Adam Lyons 51, 6th Jane Osborne 34, 7th Barrie Gregory - did not run in the final.

STOCK CARS:-  24 cars for this meeting - 4 heats of 6 cars.  Highest laps in the 3 rounds being 67 by Duncan Stott, Paul Jenkinson and Anthony Wyper.  Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 69 laps, 2nd Paul Jenkinson 68, 3rd Ian Yarwwod (jr) 67, 4th Dave Hastings 66, 5th Duncan Stott 64, 6th Terry Crowley 63, 7th Carl Baker 63, 8th Martin Riley 11 laps.    There was then a Grand Nation of 6 cars won by Matthew Russell.

A small heat of Bnagers also raced.

 

 

SATURDAY 30th JANUARY - MIXED FORMULA - 33 cars raced in total.

STOCK CARS:- 20 cars, divided into 3 heats.   Highest laps in the 3 rounds were 67 by Paul Jenkinson, 66 by Anthony Wyper, and 64 by Terry Crowley.   "A" Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 70 laps, 2nd Paul Jenkinson 67, 3rd Pete Ayriss 66, 4th Carl Baker 66, 5th Ian Yarwood (jnr) 65, 6th Matthew Russell 64, 7th Dave Hastings 62, 8th Duncan Stott 25 laps.  "B" Final result:- 1st Chris Darlaston 60 laps, 2nd Terry Crowley 58, 3rd Chris Flynn 57, 4th Adam Sutherland 55, 5th Sean Warman 55, 6th Ian Warman 53, 7th Luke Brickell 45 laps.

SALOONSTOCKS:- One group of 7 cars. Highest lap in the 3 round was 64 by Vince Brickell. Final result:- 1st Gary Osborne 60 laps, 2nd Adam Sutherland 59, 3rd Vince Brickell 58, 4th Ian Warman 54, 5th Rob Willshire 47, 6th Sean Warman 39, 7th Richard Gregory - did not start in final.

BANGERS:- 6 cars raced - Fi8nal positions:- 1st Gary Osborne 56 laps, 2nd Chris Darlaston 54, 3rd Luke Brickell 48, 4th Max Howard 37, 5th Carl Belfield 29, 6th Martin Riley - did not start in final.

 

 

SATURDAY 23rd JANUARY - STOCK CARS & BANGERS - 34 cars raced at this meeting

STOCK CARS:- 26 cars for this points meeting.  Highest laps were 71 by Anthony Wyper, 68 by Carl Baker Ian Yarwood jnr and Anthony, then 67 by Paul Jenkinson.   Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 66 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 65, 3rd Gary Osborne 65, 4th Ian Yarwood jnr 64, 5th Paul Jenkinson 64, 6th Mark Moorwood 64, 7th Duncan Stott 63, 8th Pete Ayriss 63 laps.   There was a 10 car Grand National, won by Ian Yarwood snr 60 laps from Rick Rowbotham 57, then Luke Brickell 55 laps.

BANGERS:-  This was the first Banger points meeting of the year - 8 cars raced. Final result:- 1st Luke Brickell 57 laps, 2nd Adam Sutherland 57, 3rd Gary Osborne 55, 4th Rick Rowbotham 55, 5th Duncan Stott 51, 6th Phil Rowbotham 47, 7th Max Howard 7, 8th Chris Darlaston - did not race in final.

A good busy meeting, and the final was particularly good to watch.

 

 

SATURDAY 16th JANUARY - MIXED FORMULA.  Same number of cars as last Saturday - 30.

STOCK CARS:- 16 cars, divided into 2 heats.  Highest laps being 68 by Paul Jenkinson, then 67 by Pete Ayriss and 66 by Matthew Russell.   "A" Final result:- 1st Paul Jenkinson 66 laps, 2nd Ian Yarwood(jnr) 65, 3rd Matthew Russell 64, 4th Pete Ayriss 63, 5th Carl Baker 62, 6th Chris Darlaston 61, 7th Terry Crowley 61, 8th Dave Hastings 54 laps.   "B" Final result:- 1st Duncan Stott 63 laps, 2nd Jane Osborne 60, 3rd Ian Warman 57, 4th Adam Sutherland 55, 5th Luke Brickell 24, 6th Barrie Gregory 9, 7th Hannah Ayriss 5, 8th Rob Willshire (did not start)

SALOONSTOCKS -One heat of 7 cars.   Final result:- 1st Vince Brickell 63 laps, 2nd Adam Sutherland 58, 3rd Rob Willshire 53, 4th Luke Brickell 44, 5th Ian Warman 44,   Barrie Gregory and Craig Howard did not start in the final.

BANGERS:- One heat of 7 cars.  Final result:- 1st Chris Darlaston 54 laps, 2nd Luke Brickell 53, 3rd Richard Gregory 53, 4th Jonathan Sutherland 46, 5th Gary Osborne 16, 6th Max Howard 14 laps, Adam Sutherland did not run in the final.

 

 

SATURDAY 9th JANUARY 2010 - STOCK CAR & SALOONSTOCK POINTS MEETING

A total of 30 cars attended this meeting despite snow and ice. To be fair on the drivers living far away who were snow-bound, it was decided that Stock Car drivers attending this meeting would drop their worst score at the end of the grading period.   This was also the first meeting with the new track centre, and all track records will be from today.

STOCK CARS:- 16 cars, divided into 3 heats.  Highest laps in the 3 rounds being 69 by Anthony Wyper, 66 by Dave Hastings, and 65 by Carl Baker, Ian Yarwood Jnr and Anthony.  "A" FINAL result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 68 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 63, 3rd Paul Jenkinson 61, 4th Ian Yarwood Jnr 60, 5th Terry Crowley 58, 6th Matthew Russell 56, 7th Duncan Stott 54, 8th Ian Yarwood Snr 44 laps.    "B" Final (Grand National):- 1st Dave Hastings 63 laps, 2nd Thomas Yarwood 59, 3rd Vince Brickell 57, 4th Chris Darlaston 57, 5th Adam Sutherland 47, 6th Hannah Ayriss 37 laps.

 

SALOONSTOCKS:- Five cars for this meeting - Final result:- 1st Vince Brickell 63 laps, 2nd Adam Sutherland 61, 3rd Ian Warman 55, 4th Luke Brickell 28 laps, 5th Craig Howard - did not start in final.

A heat of Bangers, and a heat of Drifters also raced.

 

SATURDAY 2nd JANUARY 2010 - MIXED FORMULA.   This last minute addition to the racing programme proved to be well supported, with 26 cars racing.

STOCK CARS:- 16 cars raced, highest laps in the three rounds being 68 by Anthony Wyper, 67 by Paul Jenkinson, and 65 by Pete Ayriss, Anthony, Carl Baker and Gary McMullen.  "A" FINAL result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 64 laps, 2nd Paul Jenkinson 64, 3rd Gary mcMullen 63, 4th Pete Ayriss 60, 5th Angela Yarwood 59, 6th Chris Darlaston 58, 7th Carl Baker 44, 8th Dave Hastings 18 laps.  "B" FINAL RESULT"  1st Ian Yarwood(jnr) 63 laps, 2nd Rick Rowbotham 57, 3rd Matthew Russell 55, 4th Adam Sutherland 54, 5thHannah Ayriss 50, 6th Vince Brickell 34, 7th Charlotte Yarwood 14, 8th Terry Crowley (did not start)

BANGERS:- A small group of 5 drivers raced - final winner Rick Rowbotham 56 laps.

A small heat of Saloonstocks, and one of Drifters also raced.

 

 

SATURDAY 26th DECEMBER - BOXING DAY MEETING. - Our 31st Annual Boxing Day meeting was well supported with 34 cars racing - the highest number for 5 years.

STOCK CARS - 19 cars divided into 3 heats.  Highest laps in the 3 rounds were 69 by Anthony Wyper, 68 by Robert Teuke and Anthony, then 67 by Ben Harding.  "A" Final result:- 1st Paul Jenkinson 67 laps, 2nd Ben Harding 66, 3rd Carl Baker 65, 4th Rob Teuke 64, 5th Anthony Wyper 63, 6th Rick Rowbotham 60, 7th Pete Ayriss 60, 8th Ian Yarwood (Jnr) 35 laps.  Trophies went to winner, also best yellow Jane Osborne, and best blue Rick Rowbotham.  "B" Final result:- Gary Osborne 58laps, 2nd Jane Osborne 58, 3rd Terry Crowley 58, 4th Gary McMullen 56, 5th Chris Darlaston 54, 6th Dave Hastings 53, 7th Ian Yarwood (Snr) 50, and 8th Mark Craig 50 laps.

BANGERS 10 cars - all in one heat.   Final result:- 1st Rick Rowbotham 52 laps, 2nd Gary Osborne 51, 3rd Darren Grace 41, 4th Natasha Gilpin 40, 5th Sean Redikin 40, 6th Charlotte Yarwood 33, 7th Lucy McMullen 31, 8th Chris Darlaston 16, 9hth Loran Darlaston 11, 10th Sarah Redikin 8 laps.  Trophies went to winner - Rick - also the two best juniors - Natasha, and Sean.

DRIFTERS a small heat of 5 Drifters - winner Danial McMUllen who0 got a trophy.

 

The meeting finished with a 6 car Banger caravan race, won by Rick.
