Considering that this date was not on the original fixture list, and was only added two weeks previous, the turn out was good with 25 cars.

SALOONSTOCKS:- One heat of 4 cars, the highest laps being 56 by Rob Willshire, and Angela Yarwood.  Final result:- 1st Angela Yarwood 56 laps, 2nd Rob Willshire 53, 3rd Ian Warman 45, 4th Adam Lyons 43.

BANGERS:- 9 cars in total, most laps was 52 by Paul Bunn, the 51 by Paul, Rob Brickell and Darren Grace.  Final result:- 1st Rob Brickell 50 laps, 2nd Darren Grace 47, 3rd Jim Farmer 40, 4th Natasha Gilpin 36, 5th Charlotte Yarwood 32, 6th Chris Darlaston 32, 7th Loran Darlaston  25, 8th Hannah Ayriss 24, 9th Paul Bunn 14 laps.

STOCK CARS:- 11 cars, two heats.  Highest laps were 67 and 66 by Anthony Wyper, then 65 by Carl Baker.  As the summer series had finished in a "tie" between Carl  and Anthony, the "A" would decide who won the series.  An excellent final resulted with the two drivers neck and neck for quite a time, and the lead changing.  Final Result "A" final:- 1st Anthony Wyper 66 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 63, 3rd Mark Foster 62, 4th Terry Crowley 61, 5th Duncan Stott 57, 6th Ian Warman 56.  "B" Final 1st Dan Rogers 58 laps, 2nd Jon Ashworth 57, 3rd Adam Lyons 54 laps.

 

 

SALOONSTOCKS:- One heat of 4 cars, highest laps being 62 and 60 by David Smith.  Final Result:- 1st David Smith 62 laps, 2nd Vince Brickell 58, 3rd Luke Brickell 50, 4th Nigel McLoughlin -did not start.

BANGERS:- One heat of 5 cars, highest laps being 57 and 55 by Rob brickell.  Final Result:- 1st Rick Rowbotton 54 laps, 2nd Rob Briclell 45, 3rd Loran Darlaston 31, 4th Luke Brickell 6, 5th David Smith - did not start.

STOCK CARS:- 8 cars - two heats.  Highest laps being 67 by Stewart Smith, then 66 by Stewart, Terry Crowley, and Vince Brickell.  Final Result:- 1st Stewart Smith 62 laps, 2nd Vince Brickell 62, 3rd Terry Crowley 62, 4th Gary Osborne 60, 5th Duncan Stott 57, 6th Dan Rogers 56, 7th Luke Brickell 51, 8th Rick Rowbottom 47 laps.

 

 

SALOONSTOCKS - One heat of six cars, highest laps being 59 and 57 by Vince Brickell.  Final Result:- 1st Vince Brickell 57 laps, 2nd Rob Willshire 53, 3rd Ian Warman 52, 4th Sean Warman 43, 5th Adam Lyons 32, 6th Luke Brickell - did not start.

STOCK CARS\;- 14 cars - two heats.  Highest laps being 64 by Elliot Oliver, then 62 by Carl Baker and Terry Crowley.   Final Result:- 1st Elliot Oliver  60 laps, 2nd Terry Crowley 60 laps, 3rdMark Foster 57, 4th Dan Rogers 53, 5th Ian Warman 53, 6th Jon Ashworth 52, and 7th Rick Rowbottom 49.   The "B" final was won by Carl Baker with 63 laps.

BANGERS:-  Just one heat of 5 cars - highest lap being 56 by Rob Brickell and Rick Rowbotton.  Final Result:- 1st Rob Brickell 55 laps, 2nd Rick Rowbottom 52, 3rd Jim Farmer 50, 4th Luke Brickell 50, 5th Paul Bunn 13 laps.

 

 

SALOONSTOCKS:- Two heats of cars - 9 in total.  Highest laps being 64 by Anthony Wyper and 62 by David Smith.  Final Result:-  1st Anthony Wyper 62 laps, 2nd David Smith 59, 3rd Elliot Oliver 57, 4th Vince Brickell 57, 5th Carl Baker 56, 6th Pete Ayriss 55, 7th Steve Midgley 53, 8th Luke Brickell 19 laps.

BANGERS:-   Just one heat of 7 cars, the highest laps being 55 by David Smith, and 54 by Rob Brickell.  Final Result:-

1st David Smith 56 laps, 2nd Rob Brickell 52, 3rd Rick Rowbottom 51, 4th Luke Brickell 30, 5th Chris Flynn 23, 6th Hannah Ayriss 22.

SATURDAY 9th AUGUST - STOCK CARS -  Just 2 heats of cars, the highest laps being 66 by Carl Baker, and 65 by Anthony Wyper.  Final Result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 64 laps, 2nd Terry Crowley 62, 3rd Carl Baker 62, 4th Rick Rowbottom 57, 5th Jon Ashworth 55, 6th Adam Lyons 53, 7th Ian Warman 51, 8th Pete Ayriss 39 laps.

A small group of Bangers also raced.

SALOONSTOCKS - 12 cars raced.  Highest laps being 66 by Anthony Wyper, and 64 by David Smith.  Final result:- 1st David Smith 63 laps. 2nd Vince Brickell 59, 3rd Ivan Doherty 57, 4th Sandra Doherty 54, 5th Pete Ayriss 43, 6th Carl Baker 40, 7th Steve Midgley 27, 8th Luke Brickell 18 laps.

BANGERS:- Just one heat of 7 Bangers tonight - highest laps being 56 by Chris Flynn and David Smith. Final result:- 1st David Smith 52 laps, 2nd Paul Bunn 49, 3rd Chris Flynn 49, 4th Luke Brickell 48, 5th Jordan Leonard 34, 6th Nigel McLouhglin 18, 8th Rob Brickell 11 laps.

Two heats of Stock Cars, including new member Dan Rogers.  Highest laps being 66 by Anthony Wyper, 65 by Anthony and Carl Baker, and 64 by Carl, Elliot Oliver and Duncan Stott.  Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 65 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 61, 3rd Duncan Stott 61, 4th Mark Foster 61, 5th Pete Ayriss 61. 6thIan Warman 55, 7th Sean Warman 47, 8th Stewart Smith 37 laps.   A small group of Bangers also raced.

 

 

STOCK CARS:- 8 cars, two heats.   Highest laps were 69 by Carl Baker, and 68 by Anthony Wyper.   Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 65 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 60, 3rd Elliot Oliver 58, 4th Rob Willshire 52, 5th Sean Warman 51, 6th Ian Warman 47, 7th Duncan Stott 7, 8th Pete Ayriss 3 laps.

SALOONSTOCKS - One heat of 7 cars. highest laps being 60 by Gary Osborne and Anthony Wyper.   Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 65 laps, 2nd Gary Osborne 62, 3rd Carl Baker 62, 4th Rob Brickell 61, 5th  Rob Willshire 56, 6th Ian Warman 52, 7th Sean Warman 46.

BANGERS - One small heat of 4 cars.  Final result:- 1st Rob Brickell 51 laps, 2nd Chris Darlaston 38, 3rd Loran Darlaston 25, 4th Nigel MvLoughlin 22 laps.

 

SALOONSTOCKS ;- Once again a good turnout of Saloonstocks - 14 cars.  Highest laps in the 3 rounds were 64 by David Smith and Vince Brickell.  Final result:- 1st Carl Baker 60 laps, 2nd David Smith 60, 3rd Gary Osborne 58, 4th Pete Ayriss 58, 5th Vince Brickell 58, 6th Steve Midgley 56, 7th Paul Midgley 55, 8th Elliot Oliver 16 laps.

BANGERS:- 11 cars, split into 2 heats.  Highest lap in the 3 rounds was 56 by Al Needham and David Smith.  Final result:- 1st Paul Bunn 50 laps, 2nd Rob Brickell 49, 3rd Rick Rowbottom 47, 4th Luke Brickell 47, 5th Jonathan Sutherland 44, 6th Adam Sutherland 42, 7th Chris Flynn 17, 8th Al Needham 9, 9hth Stewart McLaughlin 2, and 10th David Smith 1 lap.

 

SATURDAY 12th JULY - STOCK CARS.   Only 2 heats of Stock Cars, highest laps being 67 by Anthony Wyper, and 66 by Elliot Oliver.  Final result:-  1st Carl Baker 62 laps, 2nd Anthony Wyper 59, 3rd Vince Brickell 58, 4th Elliot Oliver 58, 5th Rick Rowbottom 57, 6th Duncan Stott 55, 7th Pete Ayriss 52, and 8th Mark Foster.   A  heat of  Bangers also raced, the winner being Rick Rowbottom from Jim Farmer.

 

 

SALOONSTOCKS:- Two heats of cars, 11 cars in total.  Highest laps in the three rounds being 64 by Vince Brickell and Anthony Wyper.   Highest qualifier was Vince, but his car did not go as well in the final when he lost his pinion.  Final result:- 1st Anthony Wyper 63 laps, 2nd Carl Baker 63, 3rd Pete Ayriss 61, 4th Sandra Doherty 59, 5th Paul Midgley 57, 6th Vince Brickell 2 laps.

BANGERS - Poor turn-out of cars - one heat of 8 cars.  Highest laps being 57 by David Smith and 56 by Rob Brickell.  Final result:- 1st Rob Brickell 54 laps, 2nd David Smith 53, 3rd Rick Rowbottom 49, 4th Chris Flynn 48, 5th Luke Brickell  47, 6th Adam Sutherland 43, 7th Paul Baker 38, 8th Jonathan Sutherland 22 laps.

SATURDAY 28th JUNE - STOCK CARS:- Two heats of cars, most laps being 65 by Carl Baker, Elliot Oliver, Anthony Wyper, and Terry Crowley.  Rick Rowbottom racing a "Baker" car in his first points meeting went very well, doing 61 laps in one race, and making the final.

Final Result:-  1st Anthony Wyper 62 laps, 2nd Elliot Oliver 59, 3rd Terry Crowley 59, 4th Mark Foster 57, 5th Rick Rowbotton 56, 6th Carl Baker 54, 7th Stewart Smith 52, and 8th Alan Bellis 1 lap.

The 6 car Grand National was won by Anthony racing as an experiment, his Saloonstock in the same direction as the Stock Cars. He did 61 laps, and 2nd was Paul Baker with 54 laps.

A small heat of Bangers also raced.

 

All twenty nine drivers that booked in, raced.  The most distant travellers being Neil Ritchie and Iain Roper from Leven club in Scotland, and Miklos Szabados from the Fordham club in East Anglia.

In Round 1, the highest lap was 83 by Anthony Wyper - which gave him FTQ of the day and one extra point.  Other drivers with over 80 laps were Ben Harding, and Martin Riley.  In Round 2, three drivers did 82 laps - all in the same race - Anthony Wyper, Clive Buckler and Matt Bennett.   In Round 3, only two drivers managed over 80 laps - Matt Bennett with 82, and Jon Cutts 80. Round 4 must have been more hectic as nobody did over 80 laps, the highest being 79 by Jon Cutts, Ben Harding, Anthony Wyper, Clive Buckler and Elliot Oliver.

CONSOLATION RESULT:- 1st Elliot Oliver  80 laps (went through to final), 2nd Carl Baker 76, 3rd Terry Crowley 75, 4th Pete Clarke 69, 5th Peter Burgess 69, 6th Nick Cooper 67, 7th Phil Chadbourne 67, 8th Pete Ayriss 30.

JUNIOR DASH:- This was an extra race for the Junior drivers who had not qualified for a trophy so far.  This was won by Stuart Clarke from Thomas Collins.

FINAL RESULT:- 1st Ben Harding 79 laps, 2nd Martin Riley 78, 3rd Matt Bennett 78, 4th Clive Buckler 78, 5th Jon Cutts 76, 6th Anthony Wyper 74, 7th Karl Spencer 74, and 8th Elliot Oliver 72.  All eight finalists got trophies.   Other trophies won were:- Concourse - Neil Ritchie, best yellow Pete Clarke, best blue Peter Burgess, and best Junior Nick Cooper and Stuart Clarke - Junior race winner.
